The Food
The Cherry Tree offers a choice of classic European
dishes served with a modern twist from Roast cod
on a pea & mint puree with an oyster &
chive cream sauce to Confit of Duck leg salad
with baby spinach, smoked black pudding, &
pine kernels. In addition, chalk boards offer
daily specials.
The food philosophy is simple,
quality, fresh ingredients with uncomplicated
presentation and value for money. Local produce
is used throughout the menu and items such as
Lobster, Oysters and Game are available when in
season.
A
Sunday roast is available consisting of Scottish
Prime Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes,
fresh vegetables and home-made horseradish.
Children are catered for and can
eat in the dining rooms up until 8pm. The children's
menu includes roast dinner (on Sunday’s),
grilled fresh chicken and fresh chips, Pork &
leek sausages and mash and fish and chips.
Whilst
the service is relaxed and informal, staff ensure
that the details are taken care of and that your
visit is an enjoyable one. The Inn seats 76 inside
and a further 40 in the garden. The Cherry Tree
Inn operates a non-smoking policy through-out
our restaurant, bar and letting rooms. Bookings
are not always necessary although we recommend
you make a reservation for peaks times.
